  • Hi, I have no experience with the cover because I made my gurdys without them. But I have seen that the cover is made completly (with wood purfling) befor bending. But if you want to use any other kind of purfling (shell, bone, plastic...) for inlay, I think that is better made the inlay after the bending. I hope that this can help you.
