Group Description

Welcome ...

This site has been set up as a forum for sharing information and as a means of keeping owners of the Holman & Pye designed cruiser racer, the Hustler 25.5, in touch with each other.

My guess is that if you are visiting it you aare already aware of the Hustler25.5 but if not this popular and robust boat dating from the early 1970s remains a true design classic and even today is capable of beating much larger boats.

Yachting Monthly described the Hustler 25.5 as "a well built, pretty and seaworthy cruiser-racer with a good turn of speed". The boat was designed by Don Pye (of Holman & Pye) to the IOR rule and Richard Matthews (founder of Oyster Yachts) collected many trophies in the first boat called UFO. These are remarkably sturdy and versatile little boats as is borne out by member Steve Layton's reports of his recent voyage from UK to Turkey.

If you are an owner, a potential owner, a crew member, or simply know someone with one of these great little boats please feel free to contact me at ptbw1786@yahoo.com (the site web email adress) or personally at peterwebster54@hotmail.com Why not join me in contributing to the site and passing the word on to other boat owners. All contributions gratefully receieved.

All you reqiuire to access the site is to create a personal Yahoo email account (no charge)and the click on the icon. You can post text messages, questions, photos, articles or anything you feel will interest other owners. You might also like to check out the following website www.hustler-owners.org.uk.
