      Hey martin,
I would start the air sensor project first. It boasts some really signifacant gains and is theoretically the best place to start being the mouth of the beast. use the reccommended proceedures that the manufatcure/ sales people give you. having increased the intake efficancy, i would then move to the cams, call bavarian auto sport 800 535 2002 or contact bmp online for the parts for all of these projects. i believe that you will find euro headers available but I would try for something new. If possible get rid of the cat conv. on the way out w/ some bb tri flow or sprint pipes. this what i am going to do, but i am waiting for oppertunities to present themselves, such as an air flow meter gone bad, rusty pipes, ect.
      best of luck!

ps. I have spent alot of time with this car and probably know about the little problems that you may encounter along the way, feel free to ask...
      tip of the day...
take a circiut tester, open the hood, remove diagnostic cap, flip and use schemata to locate #7 pin. insert tester probe into pin, ground the tester somewhere on the body, get in the car, turn your ignition to pos. 2 ( not starting it) and wait about ten sec. or less for your service and oil lights to magically reset!!! have a great day, take the savings and buy a nice part for your darling e28.

      Damion, thanks for the advice.
Can you give me any further details on the Mass flow
air meter conversion/camshaft/injectors & headers that
you would propose.Any pics or articles you know wjo
      already have it .
      Much appreciated.

the big coupe groupe has greaat articles including
leather restoration....replacing the windscreen is the
easist way to make the car "new" when your are
driving...do it. not to exspensive so have a pro do
it. engine mods...the motor is a big air and feul
pump. the more volume that goes thru the faster you
go. balance the intake and exghaust, one without the
other is a waste. kn filter have been the subject of
much controversy lately. for intake i would look into
a mass flow air meter conversion/ new camshaft
/injectors for exghaust get some headers. perhaps
suspension will be less exspensive and throughly
enjoyable. i suggest ( these are installed on my e28
      88m5) h&r lowering springs/ bilstene sport shocks/
750il thrust arms/ use HUNTER GROUND FORCE balancing
machine to tune the tires and rims. good luck!!
