      sorry to get back so late...i've never really had any head problems on any of my bmw's...
      so it's an area that's new to me. i know for a fact, aluminum heads can be be problematic
      if not torqued properly, aluminum can warp and distort if engine over heats too, typically
      re-sufacing a warped head is dis-couraged from what I've heard. I would suggest
      researching this !!! GOOD LUCK
