  • It's a shame you had material ground off the hubface of the wheel as that has rather devalued them, if you intend on keeping them then no big deal I guess. They should fit with ease with nicely rolled arch lips, grinding the lips down will give more clearance but you still have a nice horizontal edge to snag the tyre if you ever change tyre size, get the lips rolled nice and flat...

  • Oh my bad, those are 16 inch Remotecs, but I bet they are 8.5 inch wide and about a 10 offset. I think the 17 inch Remotecs look a bit better though, fit the car very nicely, looking 'old school' but chunky and purposeful. There is a red 535i with M535i front and rear bumpers on cardomain with the 17 inch remotecs. Ben ----- Original Message ----- From: "andrew graham" To: Sent...

  • Hey mate, Those are Remotec 17 inch by 8.5 wide on the blue m535i, I think they're about a 10 offset. Personally I run a variety of wheels, 17x8.5 ET13 offset, 17x8.5 ET11 offset, and 17x9.5 ET17 offset. I've also run 17x9 M Coupe rims which I think are probably about a 0 offset, as they sit very flush with the arch. My car is on spax adjustable shocks and lowering springs, but...

  • Hi Gary, I'm afraid I can't help on the rear bumper or light, since my car was rear ended the bumper is rather smashed and the rubber, although intact, will be scuffed etc, and my offside light is broken and shadowline anyway. As for how much I want for the wheel, well they go for all sorts of different amounts depending on whether it's from a breaker, or ebay, etc so I'm not sure...

  • Forgot a couple of things! Pics of the cream interior and mint steering wheel from my new 528i SE... http://i24.ebayimg.com/01/i/02/ae/ce/05_1.JPG http://i11.ebayimg.com/01/i/02/ae/c2/a4_1.JPG The rear Zender spoiler (with the front also in the pic) http://i15.ebayimg.com/02/i/02/b6/77/94_0.JPG http://i6.ebayimg.com/01/i/02/b6/7c/8a_1.JPG If you want pictures of anything else I'll...

  • Hi guys! Not really sent many messages to this webgroup, but I own(ed) a mint 1987 525i (Euro, of course) which was recently written off when some dozy school mum drove into the back of me in traffic. Anyway, as a result of that and my friend buying a 528i to turn into a track car, I've got quite a lot of bits for sale. All in the UK. If anybody wants anything just have a quick...

  • Hi, When you say front "bib" spoiler, do you mean the M535i full front bumper/spoiler combo, or the M5 skirt that sits under the standard black metalwork and retains the standard bumpers? And regardless of what it is you have, how much do you want for it? I'm in Birmingham, so not too far. Thanks! Ben >From: "yonkyjonah" >Reply-To: bmwe28@^$1 >To: bmwe28@^$2 >Subject: [bmw e28] Re...

  • Hi Ben, I'm afraid I can't help you with the key issue, but the first thing that springs to mind is have you tried jiggling the steering wheel while turning the key?? Silly suggestion I know but it could just be the steering lock holding everything up...? With regards to wheels and tyres. I would replace the M535i TRXs with 15s, 16s or 17s, depending on what you want. Have a look...

  • Excellent choice! I've been considering an identical set for quite some time, but due to my car's jacking points deciding they want to sprout holes I just can't afford new wheels right now. They'll fit just fine with 225/50/16, which was original fitment to M5s and a really good choice. I imagine they'd be ok with 205/55/16s too if you wanted but there's not much point since the...

  • Hi Justin, I'd recommend getting a custom made SS exhaust built up for you, find somewhere friendly that can build it to your requirements. It shouldn't be too expensive (BMW stock exhausts are expensive, and when buying from the cheap places like GSF or Euro Car Parts you have to be careful you get O/E quality that will last) and they would be able to tailor make it to your look...
