  • I replaced my 86 535i cold start valve and gas hose. The hose is about 6 " long. Its tricky to get to. Remove the 2 bolts on valve if you can't loosen and remove hose to fuel rail, www.bavauto.com has the hose.   • I replaced both on my 86 535i. Was easy to replace the main fuel pump (ahead of the rear passenger wheel) and the in-tank low pressure fuel pump. Bentley manual has all the particulars.
