  • Hi John, In reply, there are good sites in Germany: www.e28.de and www.bmwe28.de.I've heard one of them has a pretty good forum too. Of cours for you as a real E28-enthusiast the german language is no problem. Certain former leaders of this country whose names I find hard to recall already spoke of Br├╝dervolk when they spoke of the Dutch. I think they were terribly wrong, but...

  • Hi Ron, Maybe you already solved the draught, but I couldn't help wondering what would happen if you pushed the aircon button left of the temperature-selector (I couldn't check it, both my E28's doesn't have air-conditioners) Jeroen,NL --- In bmwe28@^$1, "andyexup" wrote: > > Hi Ron, > The recycle flap seems to be working, at least I can hear it moving, > heater blows lots of very...

There's no wiring or mechanics anywhere near the plastic disc in the passenger's side door, so it looks like there was never any kind of lock/unlock button there. I guess you're just supposed to do the locking from the driver's side? I'm...

  • Hi, both my e28's produce noise from the heater motor when switched on. In my 1984 520i (267.000km) it's a whistle produced in level 1 which more or less shuts up in level 2 and stops completely when switched to level 3. In my 1986 528i (220.000km)the noise is a growly rumble in all levels, but tends to shut up when switched in level 3. I've heard this will be probably caused by a...

  • Hi, I bought a cruisecontrol set from a wrecked E28 and build it into my 1986 528i. The system won't work, I suspect I've mischanged some connectors. I'm in possession of the wiring-scheme, but don't know which connector underneath the dashboard is the right one. Can someone help me with written info or pictures? Hieronymus
