  • Sorry, that last message was directed at the original sender of the link. If anyone has opened the link in that email you will also now need to do the same thing. This thing is spreading like wildfire. The best thing to do is NEVER open a link sent to you via email unless you know & trust the sender & were expecting them to send you a link! --- On Sat, 27/4/13, Matthew McWilliams...

  • You're email has been hacked, you need to do a virus sweep THEN change your password. The email I just received from your account was sent to me, DON'T click on the link! A similar thing happened to me & I researched it. The only thing to do is get rid of the virus (which now has your email account password) THEN change your password Thought you should know.. --- On Sat, 27/4/13...

  • A 528e IS NOT called a 252e, that was me being crap with my typing, it is, of course, called a 525e, but you probably guessed that. --- On Wed, 14/7/10, Matt Rees wrote: From: Matt Rees Subject: Re: [bmw e28] Left hand drive disclaimer To: bmwe28@^$1 Date: Wednesday, 14 July, 2010, 1:31 I wouldn't worry about it, most of the users are from the US anyway, & most never bother to...

  • I wouldn't worry about it, most of the users are from the US anyway, & most never bother to mention it either, so thanks.Little things like "528e" & of course talking about dollars, mufflers, & other stuff we have different terms for over here, always give it away.Everyone always seems to get an answer here anyway, so I guess all are welcome. BTW a 528e is called a 252e over here...

  • Sorry, I can't help you there. I know very little about e12's. I'm actually getting rid of my e28, in favour of my new toy, a 1973 "2002 touring". One of the main reasons I've gone for the older car is to get away from that pesky fuel injection system, I had the 525e (called a 528e in the US) with the first generation motronic system, what a pain in the arse that was when it went...

  • I completely missed the blindingly obvious solution, get the manifold from an older m30 engine, one which ran on carbs (e12???). Still need to sort fuel pump & ignition, but that would make life simpler. Just avoid solex carbs, they're shit IMO --- On Thu, 3/6/10, brett peavey wrote: From: brett peavey Subject: [bmw e28] carbs To: bmwe28@^$1 Date: Thursday, 3 June, 2010, 23:32...

  • I can't blame you for wanting to do it, I prefer carbs to injection any day, especially twin choke webbers.Apart from the obvious problems like linkages for throttle etc, & manifold, you have the fact that the 3.5 engine runs on motronic, which controls the ignition timing, so you'd have to sort that out. Also fuel pressure, you would have to do away with the high pressure fuel pump...
