Hello all, I have an '88 M5 that is being restored and I was wondering if anyone here knew what the stock spring rate was? The previous owner used it as a track car and the ride is just too stiff right now. I'd like to soften it up a little for street use. Thanks! Pete
Thanks J528ise 1985....... got something to work to now, by the way i forgot to mention that the system is a DME Motronic one and the bugger don`t have a separate cold start jet but uses the injectors to run rich on cold start. I bet that the sensor cut off temp. is the same though....... I will let you know what i find. pete..........
Hiya everybody The cold start on my 525e has packed up. is there anyone who could help me with this as i`m not sure which sensor is the cold start one. any help with diagnostics or any pointers in the right direction will be gratefully recieved.
Does anyone out there know the whereabouts of the specialist exhaust outfit "Mike the Pipe"? They used to be located in Wallington, Surrey, and fabricated the manifold that is fitted to my Alpina. The front pipes need replacing in order to pass the MOT, but they (Mike the Pipe) seem to have disappeared. Can anybody help? Pete 1983 Alpina B9 3.5 1985 528i
It is the annual BMW Drivers' Club indoor show at Castle Donington Racetrack, Leics, open from 10 'til 5. I will be there on the Hampshire Area stand with my Alpina if anyone wants to stop and say hello. Pete 1983 Alpina B9 3.5 1985 528i
I don't think so as I am sure that I have seen other "standard" E28s with glass roofs, but they are quite rare, and it wasn't an original fitment on my Alpina, which started life as a 528iSE. Chrome wheel arches are not usually factory fitted and were probably added by a previous owner. Pete
