  • Believe it or not, I tried using about a 1600 grit sandpaper. The fine abbrasion actually polishes. It takes a little good old elbow grease, but it buffs out quite well!

  • I have an 87 535is. I recently had a question about a vacuum hose routing diagram, which I resolved when i was able to actually look under the hood of another 535i. Now I have a question about the idle. I have a little bump in the RPM (almost like a miss, but not as pronounced and consistent). I think it may be caused by a hole in the exhaust in front of the catalytic converter...

  • Well I'm at my wits end. Pleasew help! I bought a 1987 535is that had the engine replaced because the previous owner apparently didn't put oil in it. The resulting catastrophy toasted the insulation and diagrams on the underside of the hood. I've routed the vacuum lines as well as I could, but I'm pretty sure they may not be correct.
