  • On the 5 series the sensor is sperate to the pads. Be very carefull not to damage it though, and it can easierly be done. When your getting new pads your best just to ask what sort you need and just say they are for an E28 5 series. The way they work is once the pads wear down to where the sensor is, thats when the light comes on. You can still keep driving your car, its not...

  • HI Someone else just asked the same thing as you. It means the brake pad lining is wearing. By the sound of things it is your back brakes. You will want to replace the rear pads soonish. IF you do it yourself, just becarefull not to break the sensor. Good luck ----- Original Message ----- From: Ismael Tillawi To: bmwe28@^$1 Sent: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 3:59 PM Subject: [bmw e28...

  • Hey guys. the (o) light on your dash means your brake pad lining is starting to wear. When the pads wear down to the sensor it comes on. You will want to replace your brake pads soon is what it is saying. You still have a fair bit of time to do it but don't leave it for ever. ----- Original Message ----- From: tony maddison To: bmwe28@^$1 Sent: Wednesday, July 13, 2005 2:32 AM...

My problem was I blew the head gasket in two places, so it may be an idea to take the rocker cover off and check to make sure the head...
