  • Need some advice from someone who has removed and replaced the injectors on the 1988 528e. I have the green Bently 5 series manual that makes it seem simple, but i can not get my large hands to get under the tight area and complete this task. Would it be perhaps best to remove the intake to do this? Any advice is appreciated, as i do not want to damage anything.

  • I need to hear from someone who knows the 524td in regards to setting the timing and/or injectors. I replaced the timing belt that was ready to go on a moments notice. I marked everything prior to removal of the old belt. Carefully installed the new tightend the tensioner allowed for proper slack. and it wont fire. Who knows the secret to the fix for this? Been down for 2 weeks...

I don't find any timing marks to reference, don't see normal arrows or dots for reference. I will pay for anything you have to insure I do this correct the first time.   • Anyone in this group have experience with this problem? 1988 bmw 528e i have to hold the hi/low beam lever to maintain low beam if driving at night. If i release holding the lever, the lights go and stay at high beam.Ocasionally,it with function normal for a short time. I changed out a relay in the light circuit, but to no avail.Not sure the lever in steering column is the culprit...

  • 88 528e went out to start this morning, kicked over as usual.Put the gear selector in gear, wont move. Tried all gears just sits there. anyone have an idea?transmission was rebuilt at bmw repair shop about 18 months ago.Running fine until this morning. anyone with experience ,expertise, his type of problem, let me borrow some of your talent. jim
