  • I just came back from Essen and managed to bring back a large haul of games - the list is here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/25446 I'll happily bring a few along to the next session or 10... let me know if there is one you want to play. If not, I'll just choose myself :-) Allan

  • I wasn't hugely impressed so you can buy my copy. You can have it for what I paid for it - it's used once, but is now nicely sorted :-) Allan > I've been looking at Twilight Imperium 3 again and think there might be room > for it in my games cupboard. > > Ages ago one of the club members suggested they might be interested in > selling their copy, but I didn't make a note of who it...

  • Perhaps it's a cleverly disguised Vogon? And yes, it does have a faintly TI3-race-name ring to it... > What's a 'vegan'? • Hi George, I was wondering which rule changes you are suggesting. I have now got my own copy (almost finished getting all the bits out :) and have read about variants on bgg to get a feel for what would be good. As far as I can tell, the best thing to do is to play a standard game, but with - The strategy cards from the Shattered Empires extension (I have this) - The Age of Empires...

  • I have indeed bought a copy of both TI3 and of the SE extension - just waiting for the post to deliver. Hopefully in time for me to get all of the little fiddly bits out :) At least we should be in a position to play TI3 when we want to. I just hope it'll be more than once :) Very clever mechanism, btw - we must use it one day! Allan > Keith, you say you might buy another set of...

  • In preparation and anticipation of the TI3 session in 2 weeks, is there any material it would be useful to go through? Are the rules available online somewhere? On the bgg, I only found misc cheat sheets, tech trees, etc. Cheers, Allan

  • I also was not able to attend Sunday's session, but have been looking forward to the conclusion on the date issue - was a conclusion reached? > I'm not able to attend today's session, so won't be able to discuss > dates, but I'll be good for any of the three dates in March. > If the date suits me and the game isn't already oversubscribed, I'd of course love to go and need to...

  • Hi George, Assuming the date works, I'm definitely also game for this! The only reason why I didn't sign up earlier is that Yahoo kept rejecting my messages (for reasons I have now sorted out :) Thanks, Allan > So far we have 6 players signed up for a future game of TI3 but I > would like to add a few more as we may not all be able to make the > first session. The game takes some 5...

  • I am up for most games, but given the choice (and discarding GIPF and DVONN, which are for just 2 players)...? I think I'd go for 1. Tigris and Euphrates 2. Acquire 3. El Grande 4. Advanced Civ 5. Titan Most like to try: 1. Railroad Tychoon (you convinced me) 2. Age of Steam 3. Caylus There are so many good games though - if you ask me tomorrow, the list will not be the same...
