Hey Tony, Thanks for that. Did you glue it on with Epoxy or screw it on or perhaps another way? As Oliver says, it may not look as nice...
Well, yeah another job ahead.. Our rubbing whale needs serious work/replacement. I've seen a couple of pictures about it in the group but would anyone have any tips? Can you perhaps buy a ready made rubbing whale or is that just a dream? Warm Bluebelle regards, Tom
G’day Oliver and others, Sorry about not introducing myself – I think I was part of the group some time ago but maybe my inactivity got me out again. We sail ‘Bluebelle’ in the Helford river just south of Falmouth but not as active as we really would like to. Warm Bluebelle regards, Tom
Dear all, I was just wondering whether any of you has tips to on how to clean and paint the dropkeel in a period of 24 hours while she is held in a crane? Haven’t got more time for it… Best Privateer regards from Cornwall, Tom
Dear all, I have to buy a new (second hand) trailer as the one I got with the boat is bending down too much with all the wait on it. Any ideas and suggestions for things to look out for when buying a trailer? Are they 'all' more or less the same and thus good (as long as they fit a 21 foot boat) or is there something specific I have to look out for? Best Bluebelle regards, Tom
Dear all, A proud new owner of a Privateer 20 here down in Cornwall, I had joined the group straight after buying her last week. I was wondering whether any of you has a good suggestion for a good insurance for her? Any company you have good experience with? Best Privateer regards, Tom
